Created by Wieden + Kennedy London, the Lurpak Lightest Spreadable ad is a fun and offbeat way to promote butter. The tagline of the campaign is "Healthy doesn't have to be humdrum," and the commercial certainly relays that message, with its saturated hues and dramatic scenes in which food is chopped, diced and mixed -- an eggplant even explodes -- and Lurpak's butter is used to enhance them.
However, one of the most interesting parts of the Lurpak Lightest Spreadable commercial is the voice-over by Rutger Hauer, whose deep and sing-song voice gives the ad an unexpected quality.
