Lumina Beach Chair Makes a Day of Sand & Surf Hi-Tech

Changing the way we enjoy a day at the beach is the Lumina Beach Chair, designed by Sid Bhat. The Lumina Beach Chair with Interactive Projector is a device that creates 2-dimensional interactive, virtual projections. It features an IR optical sensor that allows users to interact with the virtual projections so you can do activities like yoga, soccer, dance and beach volleyball while on the beach.

With a built-in speaker, the Lumina Beach Chair can also provide musical accompaniment to whatever activity you choose to do. This rechargeable projector also features holographic laser technology that allows it to be used on any surface, such as sand. What’s more, it’s also possible to update the projector’s library to include new videos, programs and audio. Finally, Bhat built the chair to function as a beach chair and storage option as well—it has a compartment at the back where you can put your wallet, jewelry, water bottle and other small items.
