Luca Pierro's self portraits are not your typical photos; the artist begs viewers to read into the image a little more intensely. Italian artist Luca Pierro depicts his own image in a disguised manner by photographing his facial features covered in several substances. Luca's photographs portray him covered in liquids, powders, lights and chalk. He always shoots these peculiar portraits in front of a dark backdrop, allowing viewers to focus on his disguised features. His portrait palette is comprised of navy blues, blacks and soft white shades. He presents his portrait to his audience, asking them to read his face and personality, yet hides himself at the same time.

Luca Pierro's self portraits are personal representations of his personality and creativity.
