Wave Jewellery (a retail store in Kendal in the United Kingdom) collaborated with chef Marc Guilbert to create the Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel cake, which costs an astonishing $34,000. Nope, that's not a typo.

Paul Henderson, who is the co-founder of Wave Jewellery, "selected a contempory 18k rose gold ring centered with a deep chocolate colored 2.62-carat diamond to complement the chocolate 'pudding." The ring can, of course, be altered to fit any finger size afterward. I would hope if I was paying $34,000 for a cake, I would at least be able to go home with a properly fitting ring.

Once someone purchases the Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel cake, the Guinness Book of World Records will officially make it the world's most expensive dessert. Stats for $34,000 Desserts Trending: Older & Warm
