Lightweight Luxury Wine Bottles

Domaine Serene and Saverglass Reduce Glass Weight

Domaine Serene and Saverglass are introducing lightweight luxury wine bottles through their redesigned Cépage Eco packaging, reducing glass consumption while preserving the winery's recognizable presentation. The updated bottle maintains its established silhouette and structural performance, allowing the brand to lower its environmental impact without changing the premium appearance customers associate with its wines.

The redesigned bottle weighs over 200 grams less than its predecessor, representing a 30% reduction in glass. This change is expected to eliminate approximately 15 metric tons of carbon emissions annually while reducing transported glass by nearly 250,000 pounds. The packaging will be introduced across Domaine Serene's Oregon and Burgundy estate wines.

For Domaine Serene, the redesign supports long-term environmental goals while maintaining brand consistency. Saverglass also demonstrates how lighter packaging can help luxury producers reduce material consumption and transportation impacts.
