Martin Kimbell Captures a Magically Ethereal Phenomenon

The light tornado photo series of Martin Kimbell, a photographer that hails from England, is absolutely incredible. Light something out of a Harry Potter book, the illuminated phenomena is not what people would ever expect to see. Since they are made using hula hoops lined with LED lights that are hurled into the air, light tornados can nevertheless be created on the fly.

Inspired by the work of Arizona-based photographer Stu Jenks, Kimbell's light tornado photo series spectacularly beams across equally breathtaking landscapes. Devoid of human habitations, these scenes make the light tornadoes appear even more magical than they already are. In fact, some may consider them a form of contact from an alien race, especially if they don't brush up on the techniques involved in such surreal nature photo series.
