Melbourne, Australia's Phil Bosua introduces LIFX light bulbs (pronounced life-x), the "smartest energy-efficient multi-colored light bulb" available, according to its site.

Phil Bosua and his team reinvented the light bulb by adding unimaginable cutting edge features to the traditional light fixture. With a lifespan of up to 25 years, the smartphone-powered WiFi-enabled bulbs are installed just like any regular bulbs and are controlled with a simple app. This enables users to adjust the brightness and color and even customize the flash of the light to the beat of their music or the notifications from social media. Since these bulbs are controlled remotely, it's easy for people to schedule when their lights -- and in which room -- go on and off, providing an added security feature for when they're on vacation.

The inventive colorful LED lighting is a great way to make an impression when you have guests over and will help reduce energy costs too. And just in case the forgetful ones misplace their phones, the good old light switch will still work as well.
