LaQuan Smith is returning to deliver a nature-focused Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Inspired by “wind, air, and movement,” the collection features versatile garments such as safari-style jackets, multi-pocket cargos, mini skirts, sleeveless dresses, and cutout tops. Smith credits his inspiration for this collection to his recent vacation to Morocco, where he explored the country’s weather, water, and rich colors in order to design a playful and vibrant selection of clothing. Smith also explores the concept of eroticism through poetic and romantic lenses.
The runway show featured Patti Wilson, music by Diplo, and supermodels Winnie Harlow and Cindy Bruna. Although this collection does not include menswear, LaQuan Smith still captured the attention of many during the coveted event.
