Polish design studio HOLA Design built a beautiful lakeside cottage in Southern Poland, which overlooks mesmerizing mountain scenery and two medieval castles. The architecture of the structure combines traditional and contemporary elements, geared toward providing shelter and resistance to climate conditions.
The exterior of the house is covered in aspen shingles and is painted black, giving the Polish lakeside cottage a modern feel. The front door bears a decorative carving, reminiscent of history and folklore. The traditional motifs are carried out on doors and stairs inside the gabled structure. Certain interior elements have been painted black to match the exterior.
