Despite incredible advances in digital imaging technology (and the ubiquitous popularity of digital photography,) film still remains the gold standard for image quality, and the LAB-BOX is a new DIY product that makes photography easier and more affordable for film purists. LAB-BOX is a modular, daylight-loading tank that can be used anywhere to develop both 120 and 135 film formats.

One of the biggest barriers to using film instead of digital is getting that film developed. Many cities don't have any professional developers left at all, and those that still exist tend to be quite expensive because of the niche service. Developing at home reduces this cost, but it also requires having a dedicated dark room. LAB-BOX eliminates this need, giving film photographers the ability to develop negatives in broad, direct daylight.
