‘Kate’ by Saima Altunkaya follows a classic makeup principle that suggests you focus on a single facial feature to highlight, keeping the remainder of the face relatively neutral. When the single area—like the lips or eyes—is done up in a bright color palette, you’ve all the makings for a stellar cosmetics photo shoot.

Although I love the lacy eye, the raven-black lip and electric blue eyeshadow in ‘Kate’ by Saima Altunkaya, it’s the blood-red ruby slipper lips in the first and fifth images that are most striking to me. Which is your favorite image?
