Diego Olivero Studio works in collaboration with a selection of talented Indian artisans on the Kaanch Glass series made up of unique objects and lamps. It highlights unique glass art as the term 'kaanch' actually translates to 'glass' in Hindi.
The inspiration behind the artful series is the opposing concepts of chaos and noise, colors and transparency, connections and independence, and peace and stillness. These themes are all fused together and there are 11 pieces in the series that are defined by colorful glass attached to the structure. To create the series, the artisans used Botosilicate glass, which was invented in Germany during the late 1800s. It has a low chance of thermal expansion so it is less likely to break under extreme temperatures.
