To celebrate Justin Bieber's 25 million followers, a few Twitter employees decided to surprise their co-workers with a musical flash mob to the pop singer's song 'Baby.' This puts the Biebs second place to Lady Gaga who has 27 million followers.

Twitter has become a great place for ordinary people to not only connect with celebrities and public figures, but also as a local and international news source. Often times, stories break out on social media platforms, before they make it onto main stream media. Twitter has also given its users a fun and interactive platform to build virtual relationships that can often translate into real life ones.
