Janelle Pietrzak has completed her self-portrait series titled The Secret Garden, and the results are breathtaking.

Using a long-exposure method of photography, Janelle Pietrzak infuses herself in beautiful surroundings. However, instead of standing in the photo in full form, the exposure gives her a ghost-like look that's extremely haunting. Pietrzak recently went on a trip after going through months of rehabilitation following back surgery. This journey was a path to self-discovery, which involved her making these portraits.

Janelle Pietrzak is currently living in Mexico, which is where her exhibition featuring this work will be shown in April 2014. Hopefully this trip around the world has helped her realize her full potential, and get back any mobility that might have been lost after the surgery. If the pictures are any proof, she's definitely checking off a few items from her bucket list. Stats for Ghostly Self Portraits Trending: Older & Warm
