iTranslate, a leading translation and dictionary app, debuted a new API integration for Lens Studio at Snap Inc.'s 'Lens Fest.'
The new integration was designed to allow developers and artists to create and publish augmented reality lenses inside Snapchat while offering them real-time translation capabilities in over 50 languages. In addition, the new software comes with built-in features such as advanced tracking technology and custom shaders.
More specifically, the new software will allow users to obtain data from external APIs and use them in their lenses. What this means is that developers will be able to use the tech to either translate text in a text object or to translate text in a Text3D object.
