Porta-Party iPods - Human Interaction Series

This very unique Porta-Party iPod was spotted at an art exhibit in Los Angeles. No, it is not an art installation, but an exclusive, fully-functioning portable toilet. I refer to it as exclusive because reportedly only those with an iPod or iPhone could make the toilet work. I don’t know exactly how because the article did not elaborate, but somehow that does not seem right.
The designer of the Human Interaction Series says, “I’m interested in the way that humans relate with one another, and how technology and innovation can dramatically affect these interactions. Often the acceptance of new products into our lives is so subtle that it goes unnoticed, and yet it alters our experience in profound ways. My pieces highlight the discrepancies between what is, what has been, and what could be normal.”
