Last fall, graffiti artist JR was awarded the 2011 TED Prize, and as a result was charged with the task of finding a way to use his art to change the world--he came up with the Inside Out project. Essentially, this project would turn any Average Joe into their own city's version of JR.

A globalized, crowdsourced art project, Inside Out would supply tools to let people express who they are and what they stand for through the graffiti art form.

Known for his beautiful portraits of ordinary people that he pastes on walls around the world, JR has simply charged his fellow man to do the same. By channeling the JR spirit, the Inside Out project could do wonders.
