The problem with bike helmets is that there's never a perfect fit for all; therefore, designers Huang Tai-Shun, Hsu I-Ting, Mao Chung-Huai and Cheng Yune-YU have come up with a solution -- the Inflatable Helmet Pad.
The way the Inflatable Helmet Pad works is that it acts as a cushion that you put on top of your head before you put on the helmet. Once it's on, you can actually inflate the padding so that you get the perfect fit every time. This helps prevent the headgear from slipping off when you're biking aggressively on the road. Another advantage is that it provides extra protection, since the padding absorbs shock effectively.
At the moment, it looks like the Inflatable Helmet Pad is still just a concept; hopefully, it'll go into production soon for the safety of bike riders everywhere.
