So you think any form of pet portrait is naff right? A brilliant illustrator called J. Penry is now offering his services as a pet portraitist. These really are works of art in their own right and pieces you would want, whether the images are of your own pet or not.

All the pictures are in Penry’s signature style with a dash of panache and whimsy. The artist hopes to gather together all the portraits in one book, so if you’re lucky, your fur baby could even make it into a classic book fit for any coffee table.
