The Illusion Half Lamp may look like it is being sucked into the wall, but it is simply designed to give that magical portrayal. A new version of the original Illusion lamp, this light fixture is wall-mounted instead of being hung from the ceiling. As simple and sophisticated as the design of the lamp may be, the overall aesthetic is fun and playful.

Designed by Oslo-based studio Hareide Design for Nordic light manufacturer Northern Lighting, the Illusion Half Lamp is not only a unique light source, it also acts as a useful shelf. Perfect for hallways and bedrooms, the Illusion Half Lamp is available in shiny white as well as matte black colors.

The Illusion Half Lamp is set to debut at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2012.
