The 'Medsnap ID' App Uses Your Phone to Accurately Identify Pills

By: Alexander Lam - Published: • References: medsnap & springwise
The MedSnap ID app uses your smartphone to identify pills so that you never take the wrong medication again. MedSnap ID uses a picture of your pills in order to identify what they are. From a simple snapshot, the app is able to tell you things like your medication's name, function and recommended dose.

MedSnap ID works by using a special tray to accompany the smartphone app. The tray contains an area for you to put your pills so that the smartphone's camera is able to easily identify your medication. After placing your pills on the platform, all you have to do is take a picture and let the app analyze it. MedSnap is able to isolate each pill that you place on the platform and accurately identify them. Stats for Drug-Identifying Apps Trending: Older & Mild
