This Human Bodies Photo Series Mixes Ballet and Rituals

In this mysteriously eerie human bodies photo series, we see a myriad of bodies stripped bare and connected to form unusually unnerving patters and shapes. Unlike anything you are likely to have seen before, this human bodies photo series looks like it was inspired by a mix of ballet, pagan rituals and erotica.

Created by Berlin-based photographer Evelyn Bencicova, the evocative series ‘Ecce Homo’ captures various patterns of nude bodies arranged in tight and hospital-like settings. The series name was derived from a biblical line meaning "behold the man" which refers to art historical pieces depicting human suffering through the Passion of Christ.

There is something unbearably sad and desperate about the series with its cold, washed-out backdrops and symmetrical formations of unidentified nude subjects that seem to all mesh into one. Stats for Mysterious Ballerina Photography Trending: Older & Warm
