 Equine Glamour Shots by Julian Wolkenstein These stunning photographs of horses with their manes adorned with hair extensions are the work of Australian photographer Julian Wolkenstein. According to the artist, it took four to five hours to to make each horse’s hair look this good, and the horses apparently enjoyed the pampering. Wolkenstein has refused requests from advertisers wanting to use the images in advertisements, saying that the images were not intended for that purpose. In addition to being featured in several exhibitions, around 500 posters of the images were made and sent out to select people worldwide.  There was never any intention to set the world aflame with the project. It was just purely because it made me smile, made me laugh. On the flip side of that, it also had a very, very conscious self-promotional theme behind it as well. What I wanted to do was create an image people would look at, would laugh at and would appeal to a wide range of people.
