Hong Yi made Mark Zuckerberg’s portrait out of books in this intriguing installation. The Malaysian artist spent one week creating the piece, created out of 36 different books. Yi carefully carved out the shadows of the ever-so-famous Zuckerberg face into the books and stacked them accordingly.

She said she used 36 Game of Thrones books, which were the chunkiest she could find. Her inspiration was drawn from a recent trip to the US. Yi has done other similar works, which involve giant portraits made out of unconventional items.

Hong Yi is currently living in China and working at an architecture company called HASSELL. Her video she posted showcases her cheery self, laughing and playing around, while showing her creative process. Stats for CEO Novel Portraits Trending: Older & Chilly
