You’d think a unicycle would have only one wheel—hence the name ‘unicycle’—but not so with the Honda U3-X. The super sleek, futuristic ride takes unicycling to a whole new level by combing multiple wheels to make one larger wheel. The large wheel on the Honda U3-X unicycle is comprised of a series of small motor-controlled wheels which can rotate independently, thus allowing for multi-directional capability. That means it can move every which way: forward, backward, side-to-side, and diagonally. The company has marketed the U3-X as a more portable personal mobility device. As in: if you’re too lazy to stand on a Segway, you can sit on this unicycle and motor around. While the Honda U3-X unicycle is not on the market yet, check out the video to see its multi-directional capabilities! References: engadget, newlaunchesFiled In: |
