Record-Breaking Ferris Wheels

The High Roller Ferris Wheel in Las Vegas Can Carry 1,000+ People

Las Vegas’s aptly-named High Roller Ferris wheel began welcoming its first passengers recently. At a height of 167.6 meters, High Roller is the world’s largest Ferris wheel. It is 2.7 meters higher than the previous record holder, the Singapore Flyer.

The High Roller Ferris wheel features 28 sphere-shaped, glass-enclosed cabins that provide spectacular 360-degree views of Sin City. Each cabin weighs 44,000 pounds and can hold up to 40 people, giving the High Roller a maximum capacity of 1,120 passengers. The wheel has a diameter of 158.5 meters, and is covered in a 2,000 LED lighting system.

The High Roller’s rotation takes 30 minutes to complete. Ticket prices start at $24.95 during the day, rising up to $59.95 for an Express Pass that lets you skip the line.
