Halo by Benjamin Hubert Ensures Slowly Ripening Fruit

Halo by Benjamin Hubert may look like a simple fruit bowl at first, but upon closer inspection it becomes evident that a lot of attention and detail was put into its design. It boasts concentric ribs that give it the characteristically sunken design of a typical bowl. Like a stadium of miniature stairs, the surface of the bowl dips down one step at a time.

Designed for the Scandinavian brand David Design, Halo by Benjamin Hubert is made out of CNC cut solid oak. Aside from its stunning look, the geometrically ribbed effect serves a practical purpose as well. According to the designer, "[T]hese ribs allow for a minimum surface area contact with the fruit contents. This allows for optimum airflow beneath the fruit decreasing the presence of mould and increasing the shelf life of the produce." Stats for Concentrically Ribbed Bowls Trending: Older & Chilly
