This transforming transport vehicle looks more like a fantasy machine from Star Wars or iRobot than a conventional commercial container carrier. This unique concept vehicle is powered by an algae-based fuel cell engine designed by Benjamin Cselley, Jupin Ghanbari, Jessica Covi and Erol Kursani.

The Chiron Transportation concept is not only eco-friendly, it transforms from Highway Tractor to Locomotive, letting its cargo go from A to B with maximum efficiency.

A satellite tracking system helps to complete an all around fantastic design in this very modern concept carrier.

I wouldn’t mind seeing these on the road some time soon. (treehugger)
