You’ve seen glossy paint, but have you seen paint so shiny that looks permanently wet? Judging by this collection of rooms lacquered in ultra high gloss paint, this could be an influential new look in interior design.

Apartment Therapy focused on glossy blue walls, narrowing the trend in even more. My favourite is the dark blue as it reminds me of the ocean; while dark paints typically makes rooms look smaller, the sheen of the lacquer helps bounce more light into the room, so I could imagine it could counter the effects of the dramatic shade.

As the gallery shows, glossy blue walls can be paired with both modern and classic furniture; this is a look to watch out for.
