Glenrinnes Distillery Debuts New Vodka That Was Aged in Muscat Barrels

Glenrinnes Distillery, a spirit maker known for its highly-acclaimed Eight Lands Gin and Vodka, has added a new installment to its Producers' Series with the launch of its first limited-edition Muscat barrel-aged vodka. To create the vodka, Glenrinnes Distillery took its signature organic Eight Lands Organic Vodka and aged it in specialty virgin casks. The casks themselves first held brandy before being filled with Muscat, which was left to age for 31 years. As a result, the new expression offers a highly sophisticated barrel-aged flavor profile.
“Our vodka is such a fantastic spirit; I knew it would make the perfect starting point for something new and exciting. I hadn’t ever seen a vodka aged in a Muscat barrel and quickly knew we were onto a winner once the vodka had spent a short time in the barre," said Meeghan in a recent press release.
