Glass Igloos - Fake Ice Hotels (GALLERY)

Ice hotels are now popular across the freezing north, showing off everything from ice bars to beds made out of ice. In Findland, cold-looking lodging have happened to become quite a hit.

For something more becoming, there are now glass igloos for those travelers who want extra warmth yet still want to experience the aesthetics of the Lapland environment. You can lie down in the heated igloo and, throughout the night, stare at the northern lights with the glass ceiling.

The Hotel Kakslauttanen in Saariselkä, Finland also offers a number of glass igloos as part of its Igloo Village. The igloos thermo glass keeps room temperature even when the outside temperature drops to -30 C. The Snow Restaurant at the Igloo Village can provide meals while at the Snow Bar you can drink out of a cup made from ice.
