Michael Jackson, Kanye West and Lady Gaga are just a few of the mainstream artists to release music videos in the form of a short film, but the concept of releasing one video for an entire album, like the ‘Girl Walk // All Day’ project, remains a rarity.
Created by the "creative and collective" organization Wild Combination, the 12-part epic music video documents mash-up artist Girl Talk’s fifth album in its entirety. Filmed all around New York City, the film follows two main characters, ‘The Girl’ and ‘The Creep’ on a journey through the streets. Beginning on November 29, 2011 two parts of the final product will be released each week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, with the final installment debuting on January 6, 2012.
With the first two parts already out, I can’t wait for another, and have already started to plan an epic ‘Girl Walk // All Day’ viewing party for January! Check out the first part, and keep your eyes peeled for more!
