The architectural design firm that is Ghirardelli Architetti has released its plans for the Daegu Gosan Public Library Competition. The layout unfolds gradually in a layered manner, imitating the exact way in which pages in books.

The experience that Ghirardelli Architetti has created here is ethereal. Visitors are transported to new horizons where they can explore various states of mind, infinite leisure and an intelligent, creative space.

Transparency is also key to this Daegu Gosan Public Library Competition submission. Clear sheets of glass line the page-like walls, offering optimal amounts of sunlight. This also accommodates the natural settings that lay just outside the structure, seen in the adjacent parks and tall trees. While the South Korean winner has yet to be announced, this framework is certainly making an impressive bid. Stats for Layered Library Concepts Trending: Older & Mild
