Brass hardware details and smoke prints give Gemma Slack’s Fall 2009 collection a dangerously chic presence. Her interlocking metal clip vest worn over a black leather dress gives the cage trend a new hard-hitting twist. Another mini has riveted plates that replicate a lizard-like backbone that travel down the entire back panel. Slack accessories her black and white smoke-printed pieces with more metal hardware features. Brass-riveted leather armor shoulder, wrist and elbow pads which have similarities to football equipment and ‘gloves’ that look like archery gear add more aggressive warrior styling.
