Google Turns 10 Today

Google is ten years old today, September 7 2008. Will there be an earth-shattering announcement today? The Sergey Brin and Larry Page story of Google is well documented, but always wanting to surprise and delight Google users, it would be the perfect time to announce that Google Nano is in public beta. Google Nano enables SEO marketers to parse every nanoparticle of keywords to extract the most Google Juice.

But is Google really just ten years old? Ah, there is the rub. In January of 1996 Page and Brin worked on BackRub, a search engine that analyzed the “back links” to a website.

But a company isn’t born until the paperwork is done and the company was incorporated on 9/7/1998.
