This is a great gadget for any hardcore fan of the “Katamari Damacy” game for the PlayStation 2. This young tech-savvy inventor was able to build her own life-size Katamari from parts of an optical mouse, a couple of PS2 controllers, a mirror ball, and her own roughly-designed circuit board.

The result is a totally wicked game controller (for the third-person puzzle-action video game) that adds an extra element of gameplay. Watch this short video to see the life-sized Katamari in action.

Originally I wanted to use one of those giant yoga balls, to really get the scale. But it turns out those don’t roll very well on ball bearings. (kellbot)
