Otherworldly Portraits of Thirteen Queens by Alex & Felix

The cover of the summer issue of Eyemazing magazine was shot by the talented Swiss duo Alex Gertschen and Felix Meier. Alex and Felix have a rather unusual approach to their vivid art work. Without the use of computers, they were able to transform the models and surroundings into a fantasy world full of dramatic makeup and art design.

Thirteen Queens is a series of futuristic portraits, carefully crafted with colorful details. Their stimulating, otherworldly images present beautiful mysticism and power to the supernatural queens. Looking closely at the photographs, it is hard to believe that computer technology wasn’t applied. The portraits shows true ingenious ideas and an eye for technicality. Alex and Felix’s original “hand-made” surrealism is a true example of great art photography.
