Chick-fil-A recently expanded its beverage menu with the addition of its new Frosted Coffee. Although the chain is well known for its burgers and fries, now it is rivaling Starbucks with its own frappuccino-style drink.

The new Frosted Coffee from Chick-fil-A is a chilled drink made from a combination of cold-brew coffee and the chain's vanilla 'Icedream' frozen yogurt. The drink is made in the same machine used to prepare milkshakes, giving it a smooth and creamy texture. Despite the milkshake-like qualities, the drink is not overly sweet or particularly high in calories. In fact, a 16 ounce serving only comes in at 240 calories, which is on par with a Starbucks coffee frappuccino.

The new menu addition demonstrates that fast food restaurants such as Chick-fil-A are increasingly trying to attract coffee drinkers who might normally visit chains such as Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts.
