Vegetarians sometimes are closet meat-eaters. Now being a flexitarian can remove the guilt of being a vegetarian but still scarfing down a cheeseburger when you’re totally wasted. Dawn Jackson Blatner is a registered dietitian and coined the term flexitarian to assuage any guilt or frustration by sometimes eating something with a face. She has a book called ‘The Flexitarian Diet,’ which explains how we all should be flexitarians. Being a flexitarian means you can be vegetarian, but not sit at a neighborhood cookout with an empty plate. References: dawnjacksonblatner, marieclaire Filed In: |
