The Francesco Sambo 'Selfportrait' project is a collection of extremely dark images that look like a series of science experiments gone awry. These self-portraits are incredibly stylized, using digital retouching to create some seriously eerie scenes.

Despite the morbid examples of DIY dentistry and humanized reptilians in the Francesco Sambo 'Selfportrait' series above, I most certainly remain a steadfast fan of Sambo's work.

Implications - Morbid themes continue to dominate society, which is a surprising change. The entertainment industry has been pushing the boundaries of frightful elements for consumers who want to feel that spine-tingling adrenaline they get when fear is put into place. While the imagery is disturbing, morbidity is an effective concept for businesses looking to make their products memorable to consumers. Stats for DIY Dentistry Trending: Older & Warm
