Traditional car headlights have been going through small upgrades throughout the years and these Ford lights show just where they are heading. While drivers benefit greatly from added illumination on the road, there are dangerous restrictions to what is lit. These Ford lights ensure drivers are aware of almost everything thanks to the use of infrared sensors.

These sensors detect thermal data, which then triggers another set of independent, swivelling lights to illuminate the particular area that a pedestrian or animal might be traveling. The Ford lights are accompanied by a display within the car that adds even more insight by highlighting the pedestrian in a bright yellow box. Although still in its prototype stage, the Ford lights are able to detect up to eight objects.
