Designer Catherine Meuter has shown how shoe manufacturing can turn flat shoe patterns with reinforcements into wearable footwear. It’s like the whole flatpack furniture craze, but for shoes. They’re cheaper too because, like Ikea, they have to be folded and put together by the consumer.
