If you have a thing about living aboard a floating condo, ResidenSea can help you with that for about $2.5 to $7.5 million bucks. ResidenSea is a Florida-based company which manages the world’s only mobile and full-time floating luxury community called The World.  Activities on board include swimming pools, restaurants, tennis courts, a library, health spa, fitness center golf greens. Freedom Ship is another permanent floating residence that is presently under construction.

A mile-long and 25 stories high, Freedom Ship is a self-sufficient floating city with absolutely everything included from parks and playgrounds to apartments, businesses, schools, casinos and shopping malls and any other amenity you can think of. Energy self sufficient, Freedom Ship would accommodate 40,000 full-time residents and 60,000 total occupants and rather than docking, aircrafts will land to resupply the ship and deposit and pick up residents. It will also be fully networked for phone and internet communications.

Outer space is not the next frontier for humans to populate. It is the vast oceans and seas right here on puny planet earth. The first visual of this article shows a sequence of floating micro-cities from the unfinished Freedom Ship to more extraordinary and futuristic models that right now lay in the science fiction realm of the “wow, that’s totally cool and far out dude! But their time may yet come.
