"True Love Tattoos" is a Promotion, Not Parlor

Some time ago, Trend Hunter published a story about a heart surgeon and tattoo artist named Dr. Valentin Vikunjevski, who ran a business called "True Love Tattoos." This doctor purportedly performed open heart surgery on people willing to have a tattoo inked on their hearts to express their love for their partner.

Well, the whole thing is a fake. "True Love Tattoos" is a clever promo campaign by an obscure pop band called Vikunja to promote their upcoming music video.

If It's Here It's Hip notes, "By creating a company that performs the medical procedure of actually 'tattooing' the human heart, they have managed to pique the interest of the ink-loving audience while simultaneously launching a music video for a fairly obscure band, Vikunja."
