The 'Facebook' Portrait by Red Hong is Book-Based

This 'Facebook' portrait by Red Hong is a very literal interpretation of Mark Zuckerberg and what the infamous founder is known for.

Carved out of a multitude of books which were then stacked, this mosaic-like creation is both cheeky and impressive. To promote her work, Hong released a video which detailed her creative process and gave viewers a glimpse at how she came to create the sculpture. The sculpture itself is extremely minimalist and features absolutely no color, and instead only shades which defines the portrait.

Though the video accompanying Hong's work makes it look like this was an easy task, one can't help but wonder how much planning it took to ensure that the different books would line up in a cohesive way. Stats for Literal Interpretation Portraits Trending: Older & Chilly
