The 'Eye Lamp' Has Lids in Place of a Lampshade

By: Marissa Brassfield - Published:   Updated: Aug 17 2011 • References: poce.deviantart & kanyeuniversecity
This 'Eye Lamp' is a design by deviantART user ~Poce, and is modeled after the human eye. Lids open and close to adjust the intensity of the bulb, which is shaped and placed on the lamp so that it looks like a bright, opaque iris.

The eye is a curious source of design inspiration, but the 'Eye Lamp' isn't the first time we've seen it in design. Check out some other eye-related innovations below.

Implications - Modern consumers are only attracted to the most contemporary designs. Products that push the limits on creativity appeal to those who want to stay on the cutting edge of trends.
