See-Through Garments Leave Too Little to the Imagination

Fashion designers seem to be moving in the direction of parading their models down the catwalk completely naked.

This trend is not new, but the fad has caught on and we’ve seen how the peekaboo style move from the catwalks to the sidewalks. It’s also been spotted on the red carpet where celebrities such as Charlize Theron, Teri Hatcher and Gwyneth Paltrow have flaunted their knickers to the world.

However, the difference between the featured risque and naughty see-through collection and others featured on Trend Hunter, is that some of the models in the gallery are wearing thongs and bikini panties instead of the regular knickers you usually see underneath wardrobes.

Meanwhile, Sonia Rykiel’s creation, where the model is wearing a very tiny and provocative black thong underneath the thin chiffon and lace attire, is my favorite of them all.

In conclusion, the gowns displayed in the gallery are representative, for the most part, of the Spring ‘09 collections of haute couture giants such Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Dior, John Galliano, Roberto Cavalli, Betty Jackson, Temperley London and Sonia Rykiel.
