The New Wave chess & checkers board, created by Paradoxy Products, is a simple but ingenious design. The game board is made of an 8-3/4” square of corrugated board with the checkers and ‘royalty figures’ printed on pieces of flat clear plastic. The game pieces slide into slots and only move when you move them, no unwanted sliding around or blowing over in a gust of wind. The pieces fold down so the entire game board can store flat.

The makers say, “New Wave Chess & Checkers is highly portable and can be played anywhere, indoors or outdoors. “Extreme” chess or checkers can even be played during an earthquake!”
