It is the first compact SUV by the company and was teased during the launch of its EX90, which claims that it is the safest car ever. It shares design features with the EX90 and including the angled hatchback shape and the tail light.
The new car will also use the electric vehicle platform that has been developed by Geely. Smart, which is an automotive brand. Similar to other car companies, Volvo Cars claims that it is working towards going entirely electric by the year 2030 starting with its first electric vehicle launched back in 2019 dubbed the XC40 Recharge SUV.
