These redesigned elastic shoelaces are the next best thing to Back to the Future's Marty McFly's self-lacing shoes. The laces eliminate the need to tie up shoes every time they come on and off. The Xpand elastic shoelaces are made from rubber elastic, so they stretch when fitting a foot back into the already tied up shoe. However, because of the material's zero-memory flex and long-lasting design, they will never stay permanently stretched out from this process.
To install them, users simply use Xpand's lace anchors -- small clips of fiber reinforced resin that allow the laces to wrap and easily clip into permanent place. This way, the shoes stay laced up perfectly so no matter what the activity, with no bow ties or knots to come undone.
